Where does the boat depart from?

All cruises depart from Poole Quay, right next to the blue Coastal Cruises kiosk.

How long is the cruise?

Cruise lengths vary depending on the route. The shortest cruise is 75 minutes. Please check specific timings on our Bus and Boat page, or with Coastal Crusies on the day.

Can I choose my sailing in advance?

This voucher is discounted, therefor you cannot choose your sailing in advance, you can purchase the voucher today and choose your sailing on the day at the Coastal Cruises kiosk.

Are there toilets on board?

Yes, all our boats are equipped with toilet facilities.

Is the boat accessible for wheelchairs?

Passengers must be able to walk across the gangway to board the vessel. Foldable wheelchairs can be brought on board. If you have a motorised wheelchair, you’re welcome to leave it by our blue kiosk, and we’ll store the battery safely inside during your trip.

Is there food or drink available on board?

Most sailings include a small licensed bar offering drinks and snacks. You're welcome to bring your own water and light refreshments.

Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on most of our cruises at no extra charge.

Is seating indoor or outdoor?

Our boats offer both indoor and open-air seating. We recommend bringing a jacket as it can get breezy on the water.

What happens if it rains?

Cruises run in most weather conditions. Indoor seating is available. If we need to cancel due to extreme weather, you’ll be offered a refund or alternative time.

Can I bring a pushchair?

We can take push chairs on board, as long as the child is taken out of the buggy whilst going over the gangway

Where to find the boat

To board your cruise, disembark at Bus stop 18 located at Poole Quay. Facing the harbour, turn right and make your way towards the blue Coastal Cruises kiosk. From there, follow the directions to reach the designated departure point. You can follow the signs to locate your boat or seek assistance from the ground staff if needed. Please note that queuing up at the blue kiosk is unnecessary as your ticket is already valid for travel.

The bus tour takes about 45 minutes from Bournemouth Pier to Poole Quay with the sightseeing bus, please make sure you are early enough to catch your cruise allowing time to walk over and queue to board your cruise

Poole to Swanage Sightseeing Cruise

Continue your day on charming Poole Quay before boarding our cruise to the Victorian resort of Swanage, passing Brownsea Island, the beaches of Studland Bay and the opening cliffs of the Jurassic coast. Or you could do the opposite and start your day by coming on board in Swanage and making your way to Poole. All dogs welcome on board our buses as long as they are well behaved and kept on a lead. All our buses are wheelchair accessible.
